Born and raised in the Twin Cities, soprano and rock belter Jenny LeDoux has been a regular performer on stages around the Midwest.  She has worked to cultivate a career of varying musical genres and can be seen performing blues-rock, operatic works, musical theater, 21st-century art song, pop, folk, and jazz.

Serving as the lead vocalist for Twin Cities rock band Gently, Gently, Jenny has proven to be a strong lyricist and songwriter, as seen on the band’s EP “No Shame”, available on all streaming platforms. She can also be heard lending her vocals to the debut album of OSP, a Santa Barbara-based band, and has several of her own recorded covers showcasing a variety of vocal styles.

In January of 2020, Jenny collaborated with The Playwrights’ Center to perform as Kobieta 1 in a working draft performance of Rachel Jendrzejewski’s musical Memory Laws, conceived and developed in collaboration with Emily Mendelsohn, Chris Hepola, Jenna Wyse, and Trilock Company, and in the fall of 2022 was part of the official studio recording made of the same production through Creation Audio. She also regularly participates in The Aria Institute held by Really Spicy Opera as a studio artist at Wild Sound Studios, helping to prepare and premiere new operatic works.

Solo concerts and recitals remain among some of her favorite performances, and Jenny has started out 2023 performing for The Real Magic House in Hudson, Wisconsin, singing jazz, pop, and musical theater sets for ticketed and themed immersive parties and events. She is currently planning a solo show with the venue to showcase her flexible vocal style and her abilities to seamlessly pivot from one genre to the next. She can also be found performing solo sets at restaurants, bars, and art galleries around the Twin Cities area.

She has also collaborated with pianist Bobby Ragoonanan to perform several art song recitals, most recently of which was in the fall of 2021 where she performed Jocelyn Hagen’s sensual song cycle Kiss.  In the fall of 2019 she performed on two musical theater cabarets, the first being Musical Mondays at LUSH, singing numbers from The Light In The Piazza and Waitress, and the second, a benefit for Cedar Summerstock Theater in Iowa performing numbers from Elegies and The Addams Family.  In December of 2018 Jenny was a featured soloist in the Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra's festive concert Home for the Holidays, working alongside other soloists from Lyric Opera of the North.

No stranger to the theater, Jenny has a varied career of musical and operatic performances, most recently of which was Pamina in the nostalgic and vibrant production of Die Zauberflöte through Mixed Precipitation’s project, The Pick-Up Truck Opera, in the summer of 2022. That summer she was also found singing the role of Mabel for The Gilbert and Sullivan Very Light Opera Company’s of The Pirates of Penzance with the Minneapolis Pops Orchestra.

Following a hiatus due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, Jenny made her debut with Skylark Opera in December of 2021 as an ensemble member in Amahl and The Night Visitors

In the summer of 2019 Jenny performed as Giannetta in Lyric Opera of the North’s production of L’elisir d’amore, followed by two performances as the acting cover of Annio in Mixed Precipitation’s Summer Picnic Operetta The Clemency of Tito’s Tennis Club.

In February of 2018 Jenny traveled to Duluth, Minnesota to perform in Lyric Opera of the North’s Little opera of the North tour, singing Queen Persephone in Opera for the Young’s production of Orpheus Returns.  In the summer she became a regular cast member with Magical Moments MN, bringing fairytale characters to life for events and parties, and continues to perform with what is now the #1 rated fairytale character company in Minnesota.  She returned to Duluth in the fall of 2018 to perform in a second Little Opera of the North tour, performing as Miss Addy in Opera for the Young’s production of The Elixir of Love.

In the fall of 2017 Jenny made her debut with The Gilbert and Sullivan Very Light Opera Company as Eurydice in Offenbach’s Orpheus in the Underworld.  She ended her year with her Really Spicy Opera debut, playing the role of King Kaspar in an all-female production of Menotti’s Amahl and the Night Visitors.

In the spring of 2017, Jenny graduated with her Master’s degree in Music with a vocal emphasis at the University of Minnesota, where she studied with Professor John De Haan.  While studying at the University, Jenny performed for and was interviewed by John Birge on classical MPR for her portrayal of the leading role Liza Elliott in Lady in the Dark, and was selected to perform on a Masterclass taught by Renée Fleming, held at the MacPhail Center for Music in October of 2016.
